Methodology

This page uses all eligible retained cohort replays; the retrieval window does not limit the analysis cohort.

A turn starts when a player chooses an action card, or takes an unqualified X-token while no action is open. Multiple consecutive actions by the same player remain one turn. A round begins when the starting player begins their next turn.

Every player’s inferred turns and X-token-instead turns must reconcile exactly with the table statistics. A retained eligible replay that does not reconcile fails validation.

A completed Cards action begins with a Cards action-card selection and ends when that player places Cards back into the action row. It is a Snap only when an explicit snap occurs inside that completed action. Otherwise, it is a Full Draw when cards were acquired. Full Draw quantity is the gross number of cards acquired before discards, including both deck draws and direct display takes enabled by an upgraded Cards action; it is not the number retained. Empty, unclosed, or unclassifiable Cards actions fail validation. Snap and Full Draw are binary once per player-game for each resolution used.

Repeated actions in a player-game are summarised as descriptive behavioral measures, so longer games do not dominate the player-level views. The linked Win Associations page explains its separate adjusted analysis and support rules.

Score Progress Through The Game

End-of-round score progress reconstructed from logged appeal and conservation gains. This estimates BGA's score-based progression, rather than treating replay move headings as game completion.

Card Behavior

How cards enter or leave a player’s hand. Cards-action shares use only completed, classified Cards actions. Quantity charts count cards snapped for Snap and gross cards acquired before discards for Full Draw, including deck draws and upgraded-action direct display takes. Pouch and sell identities are not inferred when the log does not provide them.

Cards Acquired Per Player-Game By Resolution

The plotted value is the mean across every eligible player-game, including zeroes: cards snapped for Snap, or gross cards acquired before discards for Full Draw. Full Draw includes deck draws and upgraded-action direct display takes; it is not cards retained.
