- 10mlherb, mint, fresh≈ 1.44 g herb, mint, fresh

- 1wholeonion≈ 150 g onion
- 500gpotato
- 1tspsalt
- 1tspspice, chili powder
- 0.5tspspice, turmeric
- 1.5tspspice, coriander, ground
- 1.5tspspice, cumin, ground
- 1.5tspspice, chaat masala
- 30mllemon juice≈ 30 g lemon juice
- 30gflour, chickpea

Process
- Prep
- Lentils
- Soak the mung dal lentils for 15 minutes before cooking
- Bring a pan of water to a boil, add the lentils and salt. Cook until soft -- 15-20 minutes.
- Boil the potatoes until just done, then mash
- Dry-roast the chickpea flour - 3-5 minutes in a dry pan on medium-low heat for 3-5 minutes -- the colour should deepen slightly and it will smell toasty.
- Lentils
- Add the onion, chillies, coriander, mint, curry leaves to the food processor, coarsely chop.
- Add the lentils, chop some more.
- Mix together the potatoes and lentil mixture
- Add the spices and lemon juice, mix well
- Add the roast chickpea flour, mix well
- Make patties, dry fry until golden on both sides.
